Starting with classical piano lessons at the age of eight,
he went on to study jazz piano with Paolo Birro and Mario Rusca at the "Civici Corsi di Jazz di Milano." On the Hammond organ, he has studied with some of the greatest, such as Joey deFrancesco, Sam Yahel, Larry Goldings, and Tony Monaco.
He was brought to the attention of the national jazz scene in Italy as a member of famed guitarist Franco Cerri's quartet.
He has performed with soloists such as Bebo Ferra, Tino Tracanna, Francesco Cafiso, Andrea Dulbecco. Since 2018 he has toured with Seamus Blake on tenor sax and Adam Nussbaum on drums. He has also played with Fabrizio Bosso, Joe Cohn, Carla Bley, Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard, Enrico Rava, Flavio Boltro, Mauro Negri, Nico Gori, Roberto Gatto, Gianni Cazzola, Fabio Zeppetella, Giovanni Falzone, Enzo Zirilli, Roberto Rossi, and Dino Piana.
